Mavi celebrates new Brooklyn flagship tonight
Mavi, makers of torn-just-right denim and other laid-back, luxe-feel sportswear, is celebrating the new flagship store they just opened NOT in tony SoHo, NOT in the Meatpacking, NOT on the Upper East Side but—yep, that’s right, along with the Nets and Spike Lee—right across the river in Brooklyn. Verbalicious recording artist Natalie Kills and Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz (now THERE's an unexpected pair) are hosting—and you’re invited to join the party.
Mavi Jeans was founded in Istanbul in 1991, and it's Turkey's first fashion brand to go global.
The party is catered by Crooklyn’s finest eateries, and will feature some thirst-quenching libations (including Peroni and the hip and trending tea cocktails made with Owl’s Brew, a new tea created by two New Yorker chicks specifically for cocktails). Which means you’ll be able to nosh, sip (as long as you're 21 or older and have valid I.D., please) and SHOP, of course—grab 20 percent off any purchases you make tonight.
