Sleeping man rescued in Lake Ronkonkoma house fire
Two Suffolk County police officers were treated for smoke inhalation after they awakened a man and guided him from his burning home in Lake Ronkonkoma Tuesday, police and fire officials said.
The officers were treated at Stony Brook University Hospital and released. Three firefighters also were treated at the scene for heat exhaustion, officials said.
