Police: Person found on roadway in Central Islip

Suffolk police are investigating an incident involving a person found lying on a Central Islip roadway.

Police said they received a call shortly before 9:30 p.m. Sunday reporting a person found "lying in the middle of the road" near Brightside Avenue and Carleton Avenue.

A police spokeswoman did not have immediate details about the person's condition or any details leading up to the person's discovery on the roadway.
