Suffolk police search for West Babylon bank robber

Suffolk police are searching for a man they say robbed a bank in West Babylon late Wednesday morning.

Police said a 25- to 30-year-old man with light brown hair wearing a gray Hollister sweatshirt entered the TD Bank on West Montauk Highway at about 11:55 a.m., then handed a bank teller a note demanding cash and indicating that he had a gun.

The teller gave him an unknown amount of cash from the drawer and the man fled on foot eastbound through the parking lot, police said.

The man was additionally described as being about 5 feet, 10 inches tall with a thin build, unshaven, and wearing a black baseball hat and sunglasses.
