Suffolk police seek two in East Islip gun incident

Suffolk police are looking for two armed men involved in a Saturday night confrontation in East Islip during which a gun was fired.

Residents of a home on Woodland Drive in East Islip told police they noticed two men standing in their yard about 9:45 p.m. Saturday. A "confrontation ensued" between the residents and the two men, police said. The two men, police said, were armed with handguns and at least one shot was fired during the incident.

No one was injured.

The men, who fled on foot, were described as in their mid 20s and being between 5-foot-9 and 5-foot-10.
