Two Suffolk County beaches were closed to swimmers Friday after “the finding of bacterial levels in excess of acceptable criteria,” health officials said.

Lake Ronkonkoma Beach and the Huntington Beach Community Association Beach in Centerport will remain closed until “testing reveals that the bacteria have subsided to acceptable levels,” the county Health Department said in a news release.
