Crime Stoppers and detectives from the Town of Riverhead Police Department are looking for three men who robbed a Riverhead pharmacy of cash and prescription painkillers at gunpoint, Suffolk police said Friday.
Police released photographs of the suspects taken from video surveillance cameras at Barth's Pharmacy, 32 E. Main St.
At about 6 p.m. Nov. 7, the three men entered the pharmacy by a rear door. Holding employees and customers at gunpoint, the men took assorted merchandise, including cash and painkillers, before leaving through the rear door, police said.
The suspects wore hoodies and one was armed with a handgun, according to a news release.
Riverhead police detectives are looking to interview potential witnesses who may have been in the parking lot of the pharmacy during the robbery, the release said.
Police said a parked vehicle was seen in the vicinity with its headlights on, facing the rear door of the pharmacy, as the suspects fled. Another vehicle was driving in an easterly direction through the parking lot.
