Police and emergency units were searching Lake Ronkonkoma waters Friday night for a man who went missing after going swimming, police said.

The man went into the water about 8:30 p.m. police said, and a person with him lost track of him.

Suffolk Fourth Precinct officers, as well as the Marine Bureau, K-9 units, and volunteer fire fighters were involved in the search, police said.
