Taxi hits W. Islip nursery school, two hurt

An out-of-control taxi struck the front of a nursery school in West Islip, leaving two passengers injured, Suffolk Police said.
The accident occurred at 10:25 a.m. at South Shore Children's Center, 152 Sunrise Hwy. The school is closed this week, and police said no one was injured inside the building.
Police said the passengers suffered minor injuries, but the driver was not hurt.
