Teen cyclist critical after apparent hit-and-run
A 13-year-old bicyclist from Brentwood was in critical condition Saturday night after being struck hours earlier by a hit-and-run driver, Suffolk County police said.
Police say the boy was crossing west on Carleton Avenue at Spur Drive North at about 4:45 p.m. when a light-colored minivan or SUV going south on Carleton hit him and left.
