The unidentified driver was southbound on the parkway near Middle County Road when she apparently lost control of her 1995 Ford Taurus and hit the tree at 9:37 p.m. Wednesday, police said.

Photos of the wreck showed the driver’s side door caved in by the impact with the tree. The driver was treated at Stony Brook University Medical Center for minor injuries, police said.
