Striking Verizon workers in Southampton tried to get Vice President Joe Biden to back their cause Wednesday.

About 25 members of the Communications Workers of America Local 1108, representing phone company workers in Suffolk, were picketing in the street between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. in front of a home where they believed Biden was vacationing, union officials said.
