Woman fatally hit on Sunrise Hwy. in Lindenhurst

A young woman crossing Sunrise Highway in Lindenhurst was struck by a car and killed Monday evening, Suffolk County police said.
The woman's identity has not been released.
Police said the accident occurred at 9:29 p.m. near the intersection of Greene Avenue.
Police said the woman was walking north and was struck by a 2006 Hyundai driven by Jesse McNamara, 18, of Lindenhurst.
