Throgs Neck to reopen to Bronx-bound truck traffic Saturday
The Metropolitan Transportation Authority announced Tuesday that it will lift the ban on Bronx-bound truck traffic on the Throgs Neck Bridge on Saturday. The Cross Island Parkway ramp on the Queens side will reopen Aug. 10 - one month after a fire damaged the Throgs Neck, the MTA said. That ramp had been scheduled to be closed for at least five weeks starting this month for ongoing construction....
