To cut costs, Shelter Island targets deer tick program
Its hard to cut back on the cost of government when there are only about two dozen employees in your town.
But, in a time of shrinking revenue, Shelter Island Supervisor James Dougherty has found a way to reduce the town's $8.7 million budget.
