Jayson Tyree, 27, drove the wrong way on Route 109 and collided with another car about 3 a.m. Sunday, Suffolk police said. Both drivers were hospitalized for minor injuries. The Farmingdale resident was later charged with driving while intoxicated and second-degree reckless endangerment, police said. He's due back in court Monday. A Farmingdale man was arrested on DWI charges early Sunday after driving the wrong way on Route 109 and colliding with another car, Suffolk County police said.

As most cars swerved to avoid him, Jayson Tyree, 27, was driving a 2001 Volvo against traffic on the eastbound lanes of Route 109, west of Wellwood Avenue, about 2:50 a.m., when it collided with a 2012 Nissan near 1144 Rte. 109, police...
