ON THE MENU 300 varieties of vegetables and fruits, 40 varieties of tomatoes, nine varieties of garlic, weekly salad mix, weekly flowers, pea shoots, potatoes, sweet and hot peppers, beans, peas, onions, garlic, leeks, squash, melons, kale, broccoli, sweet potatoes, eggplant, herbs (dill, basil, parsley, sage, rosemary, thyme, cilantro, oregano, sorrel, mint), pumpkins; vegetable and herb plants also part of CSA share
ABOUT THE FARM This certified-organic farm offers members a weekly newsletter, recipes, farm tours and member-only events. Also, members' children and grandchildren can take part in the farm's youth program where they will plant, tend and harvest their own crops. Biophilia also grows unusual produce such as Asian bitter melon.
"I like to try new things and give share members something they maybe haven't seen before," says farmer Phil Barbato.
