Farmingdale, skateboarders clash over streets

Farmingdale officials want to ban skateboarding on two hilly village streets (Fairview Road and Yoakum Street) they say are a recipe for disaster, with skaters traveling at high speeds and cars backing out of driveways. Skaters protested the proposed law at an Oct. 1 public hearing.
