This photo, taken in the 1950s, shows the Texaco gas station that used to operate on the corner of Ludlam and Bayville avenues in Bayville. After the station shut down, the village turned the vacant lot into parking lot and passive park in 1999 known as Bayville Commons.(Credit: Bayville Historical Museum)

Historic Bayville

These photos show what it was like to live and vacation in the small beach town of Bayville throughout the 1900s. The Bayville Historical Museum and other local residents provided these photos for a book published in 2009 titled "Bayville," part of Arcadia Publishing's "Images of America" series.
