Historic photos of the Massapequas

The Massapequas boast a rich history, from early settlers that included the man who inspired the naming of Jones Beach State Park, to American sharpshooter Annie Oakley and entertainer Will Rogers. During the 1800s and early 1900s, mansions and hotels dotted the area, until they were developed into suburban communities out of which sprouted the Baldwins and Jerry Seinfeld.
