Joel Barish benefit at Windows on the Lake
After suffering a stroke on a November morning in 2010, Joel Barish, a Vietnam War veteran, lost function on the right hemisphere of his brain. The left side of his body became paralyzed, and he has also developed blindness in his right eye. Guests at the Benefit for Joel Barish helped generate around $15,000 through admission costs to help Barish, 64, continue rehabilitation at Stony Brook University Medical Center.
