18 Long Islanders on 'Wheel of Fortune' this month

Coram's Laura Bennett won more than $50,000 on "Wheel of Fortune" Monday, but she was far from the only Long Islander who took advantage of "Wheel" taping a month's worth of shows in Manhattan in March.

Tonight begins a stretch of 18 Long Islanders who will appear on the show through May 24. "Wheel of Fortune" taped "NYC Week" on March 15, "Mom's Week" on March 16, "Best Friends Week" on March 18, and "Fabulous Food Week" on March 19.

The tapings took place at the Theatre at Madison Square Garden.

NYC Week

Thursday: Michele Paolillo, of East Quogue, a telephone service technician

Mom’s Week

Monday: Andrea Volk, of Ridge, associate director of admissions at St. Joseph’s College

Tuesday: Heather Lang, of Selden, a stay-at home mom

May 8: Valerie Medina, of South Setauket, a sixth-grade teacher

May 10: Bobbi DeBono, of Medford, an EMT

Best Friends Week

May 15: Chris Tsalikis, of Ridge, a video production manager; and Kevin Edelman, of Selden, an accounts payable clerk
