Bay Shore boys Rainer Pasca and Atticus Muuss return to 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show'
Bay Shore brothers Rainer Pasca and Atticus Muuss are at it again.
Ellen DeGeneres’ favorite presidential know-it-alls will return to TV today in a taped segment documenting their recent visit to the White House.
Rainer, 7, and Atticus, 4, dazzled DeGeneres with their textbook knowledge of United States Presidents when they first appeared on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” last May, and then were sent to the Republican and Democratic National Conventions as her correspondents.
The boys’ father, Matt Pasca, said the family went through the normal channels of scheduling a tour of the White House by making a request through New York Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand’s office. When they were given a date, Pasca said they informed producers at “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” who then worked with the White House staff to arrange for a few special accommodations.
While at the White House, the boys were given a private tour by the White House curator, had snacks with first lady Michelle Obama, and played with White House dog Bo.
“The first lady was excited to hear the boys were coming,” Matt Pasca said, “which is surreal, that the first lady is excited your kids are coming. She seems to genuinely like them.”
Pasca said though the family visits Washington, D.C. multiple times a year, it was the boys’ first time at the White House.
The boys’ White House segment will appear on the show at 4 p.m. today on WNBC-TV, when her guests will include Bruno Mars and Al Gore.
