Students at Center Moriches High School celebrated school spirit Friday night with an obstacle course, tug-of-war, volleyball, three-legged race and scooter relay.

Homecoming king senior Preston Horan helped pull a heavy rope in the tug-of-war with fellow seniors, continuing his winning ways on Red and White Night in the school gymnasium during the “Battle of the Classes.”

According to Center Moriches High School student council adviser Veronica Kellner, the students enjoy participating and competing to kick off homecoming weekend.

This year’s homecoming king and queen seniors are Horan and Emily Fey, both 17.

Center Moriches High School Principal Edward Casswell was thrilled to watch the students have fun and promote sportsmanship.

“Every game the students play is awesome. They really get into it. Red and White Night is a great way to bring the freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors together and show their school spirit,” he said.
