The dedication ceremony to rename a Suffolk County road in North Babylon in honor of a fallen serviceman will be held Thursday, after being postponed by superstorm Sandy.

Deer Park Avenue (County Road 34) from Village Line Road to its junction with Route 231 will be renamed Army Spc. Jacob Samuel Fletcher Avenue. The ceremony was originally scheduled for Nov. 14.
