Chamber kicks off holiday season with visit from Santa

The Chamber of Commerce of the Bellmores will kick off the holiday season with its annual Santa Run on Friday.

Santa will arrive in the Bellmores on a local fire department truck. Santa’s route includes:

Stop No. 1: CVS Shopping Center, North Jerusalem Road between Bellmore Avenue and East Meadow Avenue, at 9 a.m.

Stop No. 2: Stop & Shop Shopping Center, Newbridge Road and Jerusalem Avenue, at 9:30 a.m.

Stop No. 3: Ace Hardware Shopping Center, Merrick Road and Bellmore Avenue, at 10 a.m.

Stop No. 4: Bellmore Firehouse, 230 Pettit Ave., at 10:30 a.m.

Children also will be treated to a free movie at 11 a.m. at Bellmore Movies, 222 Pettit Ave.

Participants in the Santa Run are asked bring a new unwrapped toy for a less fortunate child.

The Chamber of Commerce of the Bellmores is an official collector for the Toys for Tots Program sponsored by the United States Marine Corp.
