State Sen. Charles J. Fuschillo Jr. (R-Merrick), in conjunction with South Nassau Communities Hospital, will sponsor a free prostate cancer screening event Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Roosevelt Library, 27 W. Fulton Ave., Roosevelt.

The program is open to all Nassau County men with or without health insurance. Screenings will include a prostate-specific antigen blood test.

Patients will be required to show photo ID listing an address at the time of the screening. Men who have a primary care physician should bring that physician’s name and contact information so the doctor can be notified of exam results. Appointments are recommended, but walk-ins will be accepted.
