Free St. Patrick's adoptions at Hempstead shelter

The Hempstead Town Animal Shelter will waive all pet adoption fees totaling about $100 in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day on Saturday.

The second annual “Lucky You, Lucky Me” event will be 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the shelter, 3320 Beltagh Ave., Wantagh. All adopted animals will receive free rabies vaccinations and microchipping, as well as free spaying and neutering. Also, cats will be tested...
