Freeport community meeting moved to Nov. 29

Hempstead Town Councilwoman Dorothy Goosby has changed the date for her town-hall-style meeting in Freeport from Oct. 25 to Nov. 29.

The forum at the Freeport Memorial Library (144 W. Merrick Rd.), from 7 to 9 p.m., is part of Goosby’s annual series of community meetings. The other meetings on the schedule are:

* Coes Neck Park, 1240 Coes Neck Rd. in Baldwin, tomorrow from 7 to 9 p.m.

* Roosevelt Public Library, 27 W. Fulton Ave. in Roosevelt, Oct. 30 from 7 to 9 p.m.

Representatives from Hempstead Town will be at the meetings to answer residents’ questions and provide community updates. Commissioners from every town department are expected to attend.
