Green Bay Packers legends Dave Robinson and Boyd Dowler plan to bring their Green and Gold Legends program to Valley Stream next weekend, village officials said.

The two members of the Packers Hall of Fame will be joined by Royce Boyles, the author of three books on Vince Lombardi on Nov. 16 at 1 p.m. in Valley Stream Village Hall, on the eve of the Packers-New York Giants game at Met Life Stadium.

“It should be a great day for sports talk, nostalgia and history,” Mayor Ed Fare said in a statement. “It will also get us all ready for the big game the next day.”

Tickets for the event are $20 and can be paid by mail in advance or at the village hall box office the day of the event. A VIP brunch with a meet and greet is scheduled at 11:30 a.m. for $100.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Olive 74 Assistance Fund, a program for former Packers players and their families. The rest of the proceeds will go to the Valley Stream Performing Arts committee to help fund the village’s quest to refurbish the old courtroom and develop it into a state-of-the-art theater for concerts, plays and other events.

For more information, contact Village Clerk Bob Barra, event chairman, at the Valley Stream Village Hall, 516-592-5105.
