Help with insurance for Sandy victims in Massapequa
The state Department of Financial Services will have representatives in Massapequa on Friday to help homeowners, renters and business owners with insurance-related issues stemming from superstorm Sandy.
The department’s mobile command center will be stationed at The Riviera, 200 E. Shore Dr., from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Department representatives will help residents contact their insurers if they have been unable to do so and answer questions about insurance coverage.
Those with questions can also call the department’s storm hotline — 800-339-1759 — from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. seven days a week. Insurance information is also available at dfs.ny.gov.
