Hempstead Village OKs $1.13M for various cleanups

The Hempstead Village board approved four bids earlier this week totaling nearly $1.13 million to clean and replace catch basins, sewage pipelines and water mains.

The board voted during Tuesday’s meeting to accept a bid from Roadwork Ahead Inc., of Westbury, for $373,600 to clean, reconstruct and replace stormwater catch basins at various streets throughout the village.
