Hurricane preparedness seminar in Freeport

Nassau County Legis. Dave Denenberg (D-Merrick) will present a hurricane and emergency preparedness seminar Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. in the Freeport library, at 144 W. Merrick Rd. in Freeport.

Denenberg, Village of Freeport Mayor Robert Kennedy and representatives from the Nassau County Office of Emergency Management will discuss emergency procedures and what steps residents can take to protect their homes in case of a hurricane.

Residents will be given information on how to prepare for a potential power outage caused by a storm. A question-and-answer session will follow the presentations.
