Leg. Dave Denenberg (D-Merrick) plans to host a forum Thursday with Long Island Rail Road representatives regarding the Bellmore, Merrick, Freeport, Seaford and Wantagh train stations.

Representatives from the LIRR are expected to attend to discuss the stations, LIRR service, the LIRR’s responses to past requests and to answer questions from commuters. The event is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at the Wantagh Library, 3285 Park Ave.

Although the LIRR is a state authority, Denenberg said he provides the forums to address issues raised by commuters in his district. Denenberg represents Bellmore, North Bellmore, Merrick and parts of Freeport, North Merrick and Wantagh.

Some past issues raised have been problems with escalators, needed station repairs and railroad parking permits, officials said.
