Long Beach holds hearing on plans to close budget gap

The City of Long Beach is holding a budget presentation that will outline a battery of proposals intended to help close a $10 million-plus budget gap. The city recently announced that it will lay off 67 people to save $2.6 million. Reporter Patrick Whittle is posting updates from the meeting.
