Long Beach moves ahead with Martin Luther King Jr. Center repairs, selects Queens firm for heating

Long Beach selected a Queens firm to replace the heating systems at the Long Beach Martin Luther King Jr. Center, which is recovering from superstorm Sandy.

The city council awarded the bid to Heat Inc. of Flushing on Tuesday night during its regular meeting. Heat Inc. will be paid $55,000 for the jobs, city records state. The money will come from FEMA and insurance payments and donations.
