'ROYAL PAINS' IN OYSTER BAY

HORSE CAPTURED IN FARMINGVILLE
A horse made a brief escape from a private residence in Farmingville just before 7 a.m. today and was captured soon after, Suffolk police said.
The horse took a walk down Portion Road and was found eating grass in a neighbor’s yard on Washington Avenue.
ISLAND PARK CLAM BAR REOPENS DINING ROOM
Peter's Clam Bar, a 75-year-old iconic restaurant in Island Park that was damaged by superstorm Sandy, reopened its dining room during a ribbon-cutting ceremony today, kicking off the first official weekend of summer. The South Shore business sustained heavy damage and struggled to recover after its dining room was submerged in six feet of water. After almost two years, and millions of dollars spent, the restaurant has been fully restored.
BEER FIELDS FESTIVAL IS SATURDAY
The third annual Beer Fields Festival is Saturday at 4 p.m. at the Pennysaver Amphitheatre at Bald Hill in Selden. The all-day event will feature more than 75 breweries pouring over 150 types of beer, paired with music from international superstar Matisyahu and Ballyhoo, among local bands. Free beer sampling runs until 7 p.m. Ticket prices range from $35 pre-sale to $55 online and $75 at the door. Admission includes a 5-ounce tasting glass for beer samples. Craft breweries in attendance include Blue Point, Great South Bay, Long Ireland, Port Jeff and Spider Bite. Purchase tickets at beerfieldsny.com.
