The Asharoken fireworks show will be held July Fourth at about 9:20 p.m.

Parking at Crab Meadow Beach will be limited to Huntington Town residents only. Once the lot is full, traffic will be diverted at the intersection of Waterside and Eatons Neck roads. Waterside Road will be shut at Waterside Road and West Street. The town expects the lot to be full by 8 p.m.

There will be large electronic signs along Waterside notifying people of the plans.

“This is in response to some issues that arose last year with crowds trying to watch the display sponsored by the village of Asharoken,” said town spokesman A.J. Carter.

There is also no parking on any of Asharoken’s streets and there is no public parking facility in the village.

The rain date for the fireworks is July 5.
