A record high daily temperature of 52 degrees was set Tuesday morning at Long Island MacArthur Airport as January went out like a lamb.

The high at 11:12 a.m. exceeded the Jan. 31, 1988, record of 51 degrees at the Ronkonkoma monitoring station, the National Weather Service said.

Do you think we'll skate through the season and avoid big snow storms like we had last year?
