Port Washington parking renewals coming up
Residents of the Port Washington Parking District may renew their parking permits at district offices starting May 1.
Current permits are due to expire May 31. Current permit holders will receive the new permit application in the mail. Others can obtain a permit application by downloading it from www.northhempsteadny.gov or from the parking district office at 15 Vanderventer Ave. in Port Washington.
The office will be open weekdays from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m., and on three Saturdays — May 5, 12 and 19 — from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. It will remain open until 8 p.m. on May 8, May 16 and May 31.
To apply online, click on the “Living” section at the top of the home page, scroll down to “Parking Permit Applications,” click on the “Port Washington Application” tab, select the “Parking Permit Application,” and print it out.
The fee for the parking permit is $15. Payment can be made by Visa, MasterCard or checks made out to the “Port Washington Parking District.”
Residents must provide a current drivers license, vehicle registration and a current utility bill. All must have the same name and address.
The parking district can be reached at 516-767-4628 or North Hempstead’s Call Center at 311.
