Program gives free ID cards to seniors in Massapequa

A free senior ID card program will be held at the Massapequa Public Library’s Bay Harbour Building (40 Harbor Ln., Massapequa Park) on Tuesday, Oct. 23.

The program will run from noon to 3 p.m. It is sponsored by state Sen. Charles Fuschillo Jr. (R-Merrick) and Nassau County Executive Edward Mangano.

No appointments are necessary.

Any Nassau resident 65 or older is eligible to receive a free wallet-sized ID card that includes a photo, personal contact information and an emergency contact name and phone number.
