Nassau County Legis. Carrié Solages (D-Elmont) has announced repairs are slated to begin in April to Hook Creek Boulevard/Ocean Avenue, a road shared by the Village of Valley Stream, the Town of Hempstead and Queens County.

In response to numerous calls and complaints regarding the boulevard’s road conditions, Solages’ office contacted the agencies and officials responsible for road repairs in the area. A project in this area is complex and requires cooperation from multiple agencies external to Nassau County, officials said.

“Fortunately, my office successfully reached out to NYC and learned that there is a Capital Project to repair the sewers and roadway,” Solages said in a statement.

The repairs will be handled by the city’s Department of Design and Construction.

“A shared or common use roadway such as Hook Creek Boulevard/Ocean Avenue is important to us all, and I look forward to seeing this project completed,” Solages said.

For more information, contact Solages’ office at 516-571-6203.
