Seniors invited to E. Setauket wellness expo

A free health and wellness expo for seniors will be held Saturday in East Setauket.

The expo, mounted by the Association of Generational Experts for Seniors, will feature workshops and exhibits about health care, insurance and fitness.

Industry professionals from senior living centers, law firms, St. Charles Hospital and North Shore/Long Island Jewish’s Circle of Care, real estate specialists and the Long Island Alzheimer’s Foundation will be present.

Event organizers said a highlight of the expo will be a presentation by a health insurance specialist from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, who will provide up-to-date information about the new Affordable Care Act’s effects for seniors.

The expo will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the World Gym Fitness Center & Arena at 384 Mark Tree Rd.
