Speonk groundwater pollution study to be explained by Department of Environmental Conservation officials

State environmental officials will hold a public meeting next Wednesday to give people in the Speonk area the results of a two-year study into a 2-mile-long plume of groundwater pollution that, officials say, originated at a former lumber yard on Speonk-Riverhead Road.
