Cops: 2 escape after car submerges in canal

ISLIP TOWN
Board action.
The Islip Town board meets at 2 p.m.  Tuesday in Town Hall, 655 Main St. It  will hold public hearings on relaxed restrictions for food truck vendors and on an extension of a property tax exemption for un-remarried widows of volunteer firefighters and ambulance workers killed in the line of duty.
