ISLIP TOWN

The Islip Town board meets  at 2 p.m. Tuesday in  Town Hall and will hold public hearings on relaxed restrictions for food truck vendors and on an extension of an existing property tax exemption for un-remarried widows of volunteer firefighters and ambulance workers killed in the line of duty. UPPER BROOKVILLE

The Upper Brookville Village board of trustees meets t at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Annex at The Planting Fields and will hold a public hearing on whether to give themselves the authority to exceed the state’s 2 percent cap on property tax levies if necessary.
