Stories to follow: Dog helps save family from fire
When a fire broke out in Timothy Argento’s Levittown home early Friday morning, it was smoke alarms and his barking dog that awakened his wife -- and the children -- allowing them to escape the house without serious injuries.
Nassau County police said the wife and three children suffered smoke inhalation and were taken to a hospital for medical attention. A 20-year-old firefighter from the Levittown Fire Department suffered a dislocated knee.

GOSPEL HEALTH FEST. Suffolk County’s Office of Minority Health is sponsoring its third annual Gospel Health Fest Saturday from 3 to 7 p.m. at Bay Shore Middle School (393 Brook Ave.).
