Snow in LI forecast -- but not much of it

Long Islanders may finally see some snow, but forecasters say it won't be much. The National Weather Service predicts minimal snow accumulation -- less than a half-inch -- between 9 p.m. Thursday and 3 a.m. Friday. -- JOHN VALENTI

State of Town: Brookhaven Supervisor Mark Lesko will deliver his annual State of the Town speech Thursday at 4 p.m. at Town Hall (1 Independence Hill, Farmingville). Town Board: The Smithtown Town board will meet Thursday at 7 p.m. at Town Hall (99 W. Main St.) and will consider a resolution allowing the town assessor to offer “assessment relief” to property owners affected by tropical storms Irene and Lee. Check Carl MacGowan’s Twitter updates @CarlMacGowan.
