Snow in LI forecast -- but not much of it

State of Town: Brookhaven Supervisor Mark Lesko will deliver his annual State of the Town speech Thursday at 4 p.m. at Town Hall (1 Independence Hill, Farmingville). SMITHTOWN

Town Board: The Smithtown Town board will meet Thursday at 7 p.m. at Town Hall (99 W. Main St.) and will consider a resolution allowing the town assessor to offer “assessment relief” to property owners affected by tropical storms Irene and Lee. Check Carl MacGowan’s Twitter updates @CarlMacGowan.
