The Suffolk County Police Department announced Monday that it has set up a hotline for people whose snowbound vehicles were towed during plowing operations.

“The department is aware that people are anxious to locate their vehicles and we will do our best to assist them, however not all of these vehicles were moved at the direction of the police department,” police said in a news release.

Motorists who abandoned their vehicles can call 631-775-2001 for information.
