The Elmont Chamber of Commerce and the Elmont School District is sponsoring the second annual Thomas A. Bennet Spaghetti Dinner Thursday night.

The free dinner is to honor all of the local veterans and to remember Bennet, who passed away last year. Bennet was the former commander of VFW Post 455 in Elmont.

This year, event organizers will be awarding the first Thomas A Bennet Humanitarian of the Year Award to Elmont resident and veteran Ralph Esposito. There will be live music and food.
